I have a 4th gen unit and I want to put it in my 3rd gen tank. Does anyone know if it will work?

Or, will a 4th gen gas tank fit in my 91?

Im not sure if it will fit into the braket that the 3rd gen has in the tank, but that shouldnt matter. If you hook the wires up you can put it in the tank anyway you want just as long as its in the tank in the same way the stock pump is. I have an aftermarket pump my buddy bought for his turbo talon that Im gonna put in, its too fat for teh braket I think, but it shouldnt be hard to make fit.

 

I was talking about the whole sending unit and fuel pump assembly from a 4th gen. It has been a while since I had it out last. I will find out I guess. Just looking for someone who may have knowledge about it already.
