i'm getting ridd of my ac and the box. i'm building my own box and there was this wierd sensor maybe that has some springs on it. do i need to keep that, to just use hte heater... seeing as how i no longet have ac???

 

That's the resistor for the blower motor. If you don't want to use you blower motor ever, then yeah sure ditch the coily wire.

However, if you'd like the hot air to do more than just sit around the heater core then figure some way to mount that.

Each of those coiled connections is a different setting on the fan. 3 for stock non AC cars and 4 for stock AC cars.
