Where can i get the locking lug key?

Well I lost the locking lug key for my firebird and I can't get the rims off. Its from 1989, and the things was stripped out anyway, and now I can't find it. Just my luck, I have a flat and can't remove my rims. Would auto stores carry it? Thanks.

bad news...each lock is different, if you want that specific one, you will have to write to the company, give them the ID number off of the package that the locks came in, at which point, they will mail you a new key.

Thanks, I found 13/16" works great . This was beyond a flat tire, the rubber tire part physically fell off the rim. Its a shame that I went to townfair tire 2 weeks ago to have them swap my lugs over with my new rims but said "we don't do that" so I had to wait.

Easy way (well really its the hard way but its faster than going through GM) to get locking lugs nut off.
Get a old Socket that fits on to the lug nut Pound it on with a rubber mallut or a reg hammer. Then grab a old Ratchet (remember these should be ones you dont really care for.) make sure its on good & tight on the socket(even if you have to pound it on to it) then start ratcheding. It should come start to losen.

Snap on makes a tool for it, it is a socket with "teeth" in it (think of it as an "easy out" for lugs) and most tire shops will remove them for $5 or $10 a lock.

Good luck!

.....auto shops use a kit that costs a couple of hundred bucks. But as mentioned above I also believe the easiest thing to do is just pound on an old socket and twist it off.... Bill...
