Where can I get a fly wheel for a...

Hello evereyone!, I need to know what flywheel I will need for mt 383 LT1 conversion(ex-tpi) with a 700R4 tranny? Where can I get one?

Depends on whether that's a 383 crank or a modified 400 crank. If it's a 383 crank (internally balanced) then you can use your old 305/350 flexplate. If it's a 400 crank (externally balanced) then you need to find a 400 flexplate and have it balanced to the crank. If you get the 400 flexplate make sure it has the same number of ring gear teeth as your old one (53 or 68.)

Obviously ivan you could use some enlightenment; You are not using a 400crank ( I assume) so the stock flexplate will suffice just fine.BTW you still didn't send me the pics of the staircase.

Hold on, let's get your combination of parts. The main things needed to know are whether it's a one piece rear main block (L-98 or later LT-1 reverse coolant block) and whether it's internally or externally balanced (most 383s are externally balanced).

If it's a one piece rear main block and externally balanced (I think that's probably what we're talking about here) then there are only a few places you can find a flywheel/flexplate that will work.
