Question Where to buy diagnostics programs.......

I remember reading an article about a computer program that you can use on your lap top to help tell you exactly what your car is doing. It was in a recent CHP issue, within the past few months, and I can't find it. In the article I believe the guy was using it to tune a 383 LT1 in a 93 Camaro. I can't recall the name of the program? Anyone out there know?

They were using DataMaster, from TTS, http://www.ttspowersystems.com/

There's also Ease at http://www.easesim.com/ and Diacom from http://www.rinda.com/

Why buy when you can have it for free?

This is Craig Moates free software.

Its the ECM851 thing at the top.
Download it to your laptop, install it, plug it in, enjoy.
I used it today for the first time. Found that my car has massive knock counts and spark advance reaching almost 50* Runs mid 13's though.
EDIT:
WOW looks like he just put out a newer version. ECM852, download it.

I use Diacom software which was bought through TPIS. Excelent product and even gives you a few seconds worth of data logging in the base software package, unlimited if you buy the upgraded version for another $150.

Datamaster has a beta version of the type 32 software (for 86 to 89 TPI) mentioned in the CHP article. You can download it and run it for free from the TTS website - you will need to register it after 20 recording runs, tho playback is always free. It will also playback your Diacom files.
