I was asked if my car is for sale the other day. I really don't want to sell it but it would make a nice chunk for a down payment on a house.

What do you guys think would be a reasonable asking price? Look at the link in my sig and check it out.

It needs:
Tires
Carpet
Headliner

I have almost every receipt from the day it was new. I am the 3rd owner. I just had it painted last year (about $3000-$3500 paint job).

Like I said, I really don't want to sell it and i've been looking around at other 3rd gens for comparison. You really can't get anything half way decent for under $5000 with a 5.7 and fuel injection and nice paint with working a/c.

I know if I put a little more work into it I could sell it for more in a few months so thats what I might do if I decide to sell it.

lookes like a nice car,id ask $3800 or so. im only sayin that b/c ive never seen the car in person. personally,i think it needs the IROC-Z decals on it,it looks naked w/o them...but thats just me.

 

I would ask 4,000, it's always good to ask a little more than what you expect to get from it, thats just how it usualy works. (from what I have seen anyway)

Good luck selling it, I'm sure it breaks your heart tho! Please, tell everyone the absolute truth about everything about the car, I had a big problem here in Phoenix Arizona with people not telling the truth about their cars they are selling. If you don't know something about the car, either find it out, or tell the potential buyer that you don't know, dont' make stuff up if you don't know.
