Heheh everyone here has a high IQ and abnormally low common sense... we buy thirdgen's and then actually make them into decent vehicles. There's just no other car out there quite like the thirdgen F-Body... I'm on my fourth. Loved every single one to date. How about the rest of you?

Only on my 1st, first car though too, I'm only 16
Love it though, hoping to keep her forever! I was riding home from school and got behind a bus. I saw myself in the big rear window (acted as a mirror) and saw what I looked like comin' at ya. I was just thinking...Man third gens rock!

Ripping I love your car man... I downloaded all your pictures to my harddrive. I had a blue '89 RS and I ****ing loved that car... it was so much simpler then my firebird... TBI, very easy maintenance... I should've kept her. Need to find one without a motor/transmission and just a solid body. So difficult these days to find a decent-bodied thirdgen... paint isn't a problem, but rust is so common.

I think I'd be happier with mine if I had the recaro frontend...with grills in the front bumper. I hate the damn rubber things on the front of mine...detracts from the overall look of the car. They dont' stand out, as its a black car on black rubber...but that's the only imperfection that I dislike.

Ooh man that describes me perfect. Maybe a medium IQ though not high

How about the rest of you?
I bought my first about 1.5 years ago. Dodge Green (aftermarket color. VERY nice color!!) '92 RS with a Z28 style wing on it. Only mod I ever did was a 40 series flowmaster. Sounded pretty good I thought. It was a 5 speed, and I had to learn stick. Learned on a friend of mine's step brother's '91 Z28, 5 speed 350 TPI (yes, aftermarket engine swap). That car was badass! Anyway, I learned stick, and bought that 92 for 4000 bucks. I was always hardcore American for cars, now since then I'm almost all about the F-Body. To me, the car is just...amazing. It's kinda like seeing a beautiful girl bending over. Something that can't be described

Well I sold the 92 about 3 weeks ago. I've saved a bit, and going to be buying a 91 Firebird. I changed my mind, I'm just gonna put in a 350 TPI and do a couple mods to it (cold air, exhaust, chip. Nothing huge) and use that as my daily driver. Then for my "other" car, I'm gonna get one of my dream cars: 99 Hugger Orange (hopefully, if not then navy blue, black, or red) Camaro SS, t-tops leather 6-speed. Something about a 98-02 SS does it for me. So that'll be the car I do all the huge work on. Can't wait

Hehe I like that... "To me, the car is just...amazing. It's kinda like seeing a beautiful girl bending over. Something that can't be described"

Great way to put it. My first car was a gorgeous faded blue (originally a blue metallic) '89 RS. 305 TBI. Loved the car... If I found another one in solid condition, I would pay so much more then its worth to get it back. I think I'd go with an LT1/LS1 swap though... but I'd leave it untouched. Just a fourth gen drivetrain, upgraded suspension to something more solid...new interior. Pretty much rebuild the car to be the perfect daily driver.

...Then take my '86 base Firebird, and turn her into a slick-roasting badboy. :-D

Zeph... I saw your pics of that '82 TA... I have questions about that. I love the car. Absolutely love it. Would like to duplicate the dash with my '86... where did you order the gauges and the a-pillar pods and all that from? How much were those corbeau seats?

It almost looks like a camaro dash/console... are those interchangeable?

I'm actually on my 5th 3rd gen. My 1st was a 83 Berlinetta 305 4bbl(LG4)AUTO with deluxe velour interior. Much rather have any of the 4 other ones I had. Hard to resist that TPI torque.

yeah, that's part of my temptation...I could switch over to an L98 and get Stealthram and some of that niftiness for a fraction of the cost of buying a new engine... but that ZZ4 HO looks so damn pretty on jegs.com. ;D

About how much power does a Stealth Ram add to a bone stock 350 TPI?
