what are the factory numbers on these cars(91-92 tpi 350),stock for stock, who would win in a 1.4 mile race between a stock95 5.0 vz. 91-92 stock tpi.thanks yall for the info.

 

91-92 TPI 350 cars have 245 HP and run anywhere from mid 14's to low 15's in the quarter mile. Who wins depends on the driver and the state of tune the engine is in.

 

HATE TO BUTS YOUR BUBBLE BUT THE 350TPI IS ONLY 220HP ON ALL THE SPEC SITE'S I'M SEEN.
AND THE 305TPI IS 195HP.
BUT IT MORE LESS DEPEND'S ON THE DROVER AND THE MILAGE AND WHAT REAR END IS IN EACH ONE.
SAY IF THE 305TPI HAD 3.27 REAR END AND THE 350TPI ONLY HAD 2.73,9/10 THE 305 WOULD WIN. THERE ARE TOO MANY VARIABLES.
I GOT AN 87 Z-28 WITH 335TPI (305 400 CRANK).
AND I RACED IT AGAINST MY 87GTA L-98 350TPI. AND SADLY THE 335 DID WIN.
THE 335TPI HAD THE 2.73 REAR END AND THE 350TPI HAD 3.23 SO THE GEARS DON'T ALWAY'S MATTER.

 

Well the info on the site's you have seen is incorrect. A previous post was right, for a 91-92 350TPI was 245 HP/ 345 TQ for the Stock Factory set up.

yeah its 245 but thats at the crank maybe you were looking at hp at the wheels mikey. A stock 350 in good working condition (ie engine runs well, no tranny slippage) shouldnt be running low 15's unless at very hi altitude because there is almost no driver error with the 700R4. Dont even worry about stock 5.0's theyve got nothing on you! However with a few mods heh now we have ourselves a race!!!

mikey have we not gone over enough times that your car is very sick and needs a doctor? Either that or you just think you have a 350 and even still itd be slow for a 305.
