what would cause this?

ok, this is what i've replaced and checked so far:

new mass aif flow sensor
set tps to .54
idle speed is good
new accel plug wires and ac delco plugs
cap, rotor, and coil
fuel pump
checked ignition module and it checked good at autozone

that's all i can think of right now...but it's still got a misfire when in park...when it's in drive, it seems fine just sitting there and driving, but every now and then when i stop at a light, the miss shows up, but once i start driving again, it goes away...what would cause it to do this?

Fuel filter? Timing chain wear? A injector taking a dump?

knew i forgot something...new fuel filter also, and there doesn't seem to be much wear on the timing chain...i thought about an injector, and i want to test them, but i'm not sure how to do it...i know there's a way to check them with a voltmeter, and i'd love to do it if someone could explain how

I got little actual expierence on testing them. There are nifty little things called "noid" lights. I believe they are inexpensive. They simply hook into where your injector connector is and light up each time the injector fires. Kinda like a spark plug tester. As far as checking them with a volt meter, I'd imagine you just disconnect the injector connector, put the voltmeter to a/c, and and put the leads on the terminals. compare the voltage read to what the spec should be. Something to that effect. Never did it that way. You could try my idea, but I wouldn't advise it, since it's probably not correct. good luck.

the lights seem like they'd work if you wanted to check the wiring and make sure the injector is getting voltage...but i'm not sure they'd tell me if the injector was bad...maybe i'm just not understanding what your saying...it is late afterall and it's been a long day...maybe ill just say to hell with it and replace all of them...but i'd sure like to know how to check if it's going bad or not...

Well, I'm sure you could tell if a injector was lazy with a noid light if it didn't keep a steady rythem. I don't know, just chucking out ideas.

You have clogged injectors my friend. Get them professionally cleaned, sometimes that won`t even do it, replacment is the only other option. My shop charges 84 dollars to do the cleaning, we use the borg warner cleaner and it works miricales. Don`t waste your money on that junk you pour in the tank..it`s for preventing clogging. The miss your car has is from a lean cylinder, at idle the injector is not feeding enough fuel to A cylinder and that causes a inbalance 7 good ones and 1 weak one= rough idle

I also will vote for a clogged/weak injector. They used to make an injector tester that hooked up to the battery and plugged into the injector. You hook up a fuel pressure gauge and cycle the key to get the FP up, then press the button on the tester. It'll fire the injector a certain number of times (50 I think) and you record how much the fuel pressure dropped. If one injector drops less pressure than the rest, it's clogged/bad.

J , this would be a handy gadget to have can you remember who made them, or who sold them?

first i would take a multimeter and just check the resistance on all of the injectors. This will tell you if you have a single dead injector because they all will give you one reading and one will give a significantly different one. If they all come up close to the same then id also vote for dirty injectors.

My boss still has one in his box somewhere....I'll see if I can dig it out and find who made it tomorrow.

You can examine plugs to see if an injector is bad too. An injector can cause a miss, but so can a poor sealing valve, sticking lifter etc...And a vacuum leak also..

Yeah, if you got a black soot like build up on a plug, and the rest look fine, for example, that cylinder is burning rich somehow.
