i in the middle of building a 350 roller but i am useing a lt1 cam with the longer cam nub and do i have to get a special timing set or would a regular 350 timing set work ?and also the block was roller but had a flat tappet cam in it so it didnt have a thrust plate and when i got the lt1 cam that thrust plate didnt fit should i get the old style thrust plate or run a cam button ?

getn the old style thrust plate, do you have the lifters from the LT1 or a full set of other roller lifters? if so, i think you can get a kit from GMPP that has the thrust plate w/bolts, the lifter link bars(dogbone things) , and the spyder w/bolts pretty resonably priced
