I have a 87 GTA 5 speed.

some websites say they run only a 15.9 1/4 mile but the car seems faster, and looses traction alot compared to an auto camaro which is supposed to be half a second faster.

 

Well, losing traction isn't a good thing. When your wheels slip, that means low grip. Low grip means lower speed. And that e.t. for the quarter miles sounds about right. Lot's of things you can do though to get that e.t. down though. Header's and better exhaust system, Improved air intake system, a fresh tune up is always a plus, port/polishing the heads, all kinds of things. And anything that will help get more traction for the rear wheels is a big plus.
