What Kind Of Gas Do You Guys Use?

Chevron with Techron will help keep deposits from clogging your injectors.
It does make a difference. All gasoline starts the same, but it's the additives that make the difference. Arco has ethonol in it year around in this state and usually the lower cost is offset by lower mileage as it takes more alcohol to provide the same amount of power.

from my understanding, gas is gas. i usually put a bottle of lucas fuel injector cleaner and fuel stabalizer every other tank... 4 bucks for a bottle that works wonders. anyways, i never put anything less than 93 octane in my car. sometimes when im at moroso ill put about 2 gallons of 100 octane... my car seems to respond better to higher octane fuel. i usually go for the highest octane (which is usually 93) for the cheapest price and i drop a bottle of that lucas stuff

Why not use 93? It costs 20 cent more a gallon? So, on 10 gallons that's $2 bucks. You wouldn't pay $2 bucks extra for gas that burns cleaner and will help your car make better power and get better gas mileage? Think about it.
Nothing but 93 for my cars, except for the occasional 100+ at the strip.

This subject has been covered numerous times and the TRUE answer remains the same. 87 octane is all you need for almost anything under 9 1/2 to 1.
You are simply THROWING AWAY YOUR MONEY otherwise! It is delusional to think your engine will run better on 93 or 100 octane. The irrefutable laws of physics prove that ANY engine will have a harder time igniting its fuel mix as the octane level moves upward.
If the engine runs without pinging on 87 octane then that is all it needs. Anything higher will produce LESS power.

Silly me, all but one of my cars are using better than 9.5:1 compression, and that one that isn't will be running on 20 PSI of boost sometime in the future. I don't see how using a better grade fuel could make a car produce less power since it could run more timing with less chance of detonation. Maybe in some low 8:1 compression 4 banger. Anyway, you have your theory, I have mine. I'm sticking with 93.

If you can't get 94, use Shell 93 octane, they use FI cleaner in the gas, and I personally have seen a difference when I used it . I was out of state and filled up with Shell 93 in the mountains of KY, it idled even smoother and climbed hills like a beast!
We should use AT LEAST 92 octane in our cars, especially when modded. You probably won't hear "detenation" or "valves rattling", but it WILL rob you of power. Especially when our cars have over 9.3:1 compression on hot days or if we're running a little hot...Use a scanner like Auto X-ray, and run with 87 octane, you'll see what I mean..
