What Headers Should I get?

Yes Yes Yes I know this topic has been beaten to death. But I really gotta know what is the best header for my dollar. And what's going to Help My Flowmaster 80 Series Sound Much More Aggressive? I was considering Hooker. I don't know wether Edelbrock makes a header for a 3rd Gen or not. But it's late I gotta get some sleep. Thanks for the help guys.

Edelbrock makes a third gen header. I had it before and hated it. My favorite ones were the Accel Tri-Ys but they don;t make them anymore so my next best is tht SLP ones.

The ceramic coated Hooker shorties are part # 2460-1 or HOK-2460-1 on summit racing. They have the o2 bung on them for u.

I have the 2460 Hooker Headers and I love them.
Headers are not gonna make you louder just to let you know. You are gonna get a little quiter. You are losing some of the restriction and it will make you quieter but still nice and aggresive. They all will have the same effect on the sound.
Edlebrokc headers suck. I already had some and so did about 3 of my other friends and non of us liked them too much.
Hooker, SLP, Headmen or Dynomax.

Actually, the headers will make ur car louder. The less restrictive, the louder! You will notice the tone of your exhaust changes and is now deeper and more noticeable inside the car. Headers are such a huge upgrade on our cars since the stock headers are so darn restrictive. Its like they're breathing through a straw

Since we have the same exhaust setup how much louder did your car get. I live in a neighborhood with kids and old farts lol and I don't want to have them banging on my door about how loud my car is. Btw Do you have any sound clips that way I could get an idea of what it will sound like?

I also have Hooker 2460 Shorties, a 3" intermediate and no cat. I have a Walker Quiet Flow muffler (3" inlet and dual 2 1/2" outlets) and it is probably the quietest performance muffler available. At idle it is sort of a low burble. It only gets loud when you put your foot into it. At cruise speeds it is quiet enough to listen to your stereo and have a conversation at normal voice levels.

I still find it too loud sometimes, but I'm going to be 46 in a month or so and that probably has something to do with it.

I used to have a sound clip but it got deleted when i had to restore my computer. It isnt so loud that its obnoxious. I actually like it because its a throaty sound but still tuned. I dont really know how to describe it other than at idle its very noticible that u have exhaust and at WOT it screams

Just make sure that hooker the hooker's come with the y-pipe. Sounds like the 2460s do from the previous post. Also see if you can find out if the y-pipe hits 2.5 inches. Cause that is mighty small for a single pipe. That's the size the hedman y-pipe comes in and it is highly restrictive. I am pretty sure the SLPs y-pipe is a full 3 inches. It does no good to have a 3 inch cat back if you have about 4 feet of 2.5 inch y-pipe. 3 inch single exhaust is debatable whether or not it is very restrictive. 2.5 inch is not.
