Question What the h3ll is a THM700R4?

I ran the RPO's and that's what came out.

Mine was in a 91 and the code was MD8. I believe it is a 700R4. Later, it because the 4L60 and 4L60E

In 1990 the 700-R4 became known as the 4L60 and in 94 in became the 4L60-E.

Just make sure you clarify that the 4L60 is just a re-named 700R-4. Its the same tranny, just called something different. However, the 4L60-E is not the same. It uses the same internals, however has been modified for electronic controls and is not a direct replacement without a electronic controller.
