I've got Hedman Hedders, no cat, with 3" mandrel bent pipe all the way back to a flowmaster muffler. It has duals coming out of the muffler with the 4th Gen Z28 tips. Sounds really good in my opinion...

Hooker 2055s into a 3" in/out catco cat into a 3" Flowmaster single out. For the budget enthusiast, lol.

I'm using a custom true dual exhaust, 2 1/2" all the way. I just cut off the stock stuff behind the 2 converters, ran the 2 pipes as "one" side by side following the stock routing. I split them after they crossed the axle and exited them thru a pair of Edelbrock RPM 2 1/2" mufflers, finished with a pair of "ported dual chrome tips on each.

Guess I have one of the most "hated" setups LOL.
I have a set of Jet Hot Coated Edelbrock TES headers via a catco cat into a Edelbrock RPM 3" catback. I have no complains on it though, it sounds nice and was definitely a step up from the stock setup.
BTW my car has a 305TPI with heads/cam etc.

Ken, I had the same headers on my car and ran a 13.1 at the track...no cam, heads, nos,or blower.

I ran the edelbrock headers w/slp 3inch exhaust (hollowed out cats)

I loved that set up, but it was time to upgrade

Ken old pal!!

SLP 1-3/4" Headers and 3" Y-pipe into either a 2 Chamber 3" Deltaflow flowmaster or a 3.5" Spintech muffler. Haven't decided yet. It will be mounted where the Cat. converter should be and it will dump right there under the car with a turndown. Lightweight and very effective, aye?

And like Ozzy said, "Lets wake up the dead...oh yeah"
