991 rs 305 automatic with 125,000miles. Transgo shift kit, 2800 stall, performer rpm intake, switched tbi to carb, open element filter, world products torquer r/t heads, headers, 3 inch exhaust no cat to flowmasters, lt-1 cam, 4,10 gears, and subframe connectors???? what do u think it would run in the 1/4 mile??? thanks alot. Do you think i would need nitto's???
I dont have this car i was really thinking of buying it and doing this to it. What cam would you suggest?? Also what would you estimate all that would cost if i did all the work except the shift kit?? thanks alot
I still say 13s are easily attainable if you put the power to the ground with some sticky tires.
That combo should have no trouble putting out around 275-280hp - possibly more.
Last I checked 275hp + nice stall and gears + good tires = 13s

it's a 305 automatic... with a lot of milage on it...
i saw a 350 tbi with lt4 cam, afr's, 2500 tc, headers, and flows pull a 15.8 and then a 16.1 while i was at the track... guy took it there for the first time thinking it was going to run low 13's. i wouldnt buy a car that's been worked on... i'd only buy a car that's completely stock and looks like it's never been ragged on.
once you buy that car, you'll realize why they sold it.
buy yourself some type of car with a 350 in it... 305 auto's are sh*t... the manual 305's were low 15/high 14 second cars, stock.... depending on the driver

And I've seen an LS1 C5 run 15.5, 15.9, and 15.1 all in the same night, back to back to back. What's your point? It wasn't the car's fault.
CHP or CarCraft did a similar buildup with a LG4, it made like 300hp with the S/R Torquers, but with a hotter cam (XE262 218/224 dur @.050, lift of .462/.469).
Vortec heads made 25 hp over the S/R Torquers on this engine btw with no other changes, pretty big increase...
I'd give ya low 14s in this car... Pretty sad seeing as you could start with a decent 350 TPI car and already be there...

It's not just a "305 automatic". It's got heads comparable to Vortecs....
