Id go with a little more stall like 3200 and a mechanical sec carb. And why a 327?

If you must use the pink rods, make sure you invest in a good set of ARP rod bolts and a stud kit for the mains.

What year 327 is it? If its a large journal it has the same bore and main journal size as a 350 you can just use a 350 crank, or a 3.75stroke crank if you want.

not an option, besides a 250 shoot should overcome the power lost by displacement

Oh ok. Well if you got an expensive crank given to you I guess I can see that. ALthough you can probbaly sell the crank to a vintage guy who wants to keep the stock cubes but needs a tougher crank, and buy a bigger one for yourself if you really wanted to.

IS this a race car or cruiser? Daily driver? Looks like you're going to be doing a little racing so I'll lean towards that aspect, k?

Yeah I wouldn't put Pink rods in between a billet crank and a good forged piston. At least invest in a set of Scat or Eagle I or H beams with good bolts, especially if it's going to see some rpm and nitrous tickling.

I would do a Super Victor Vortec over a dual plane with this kind of combo and have it port matched accordingly. Steel Comp Pro Mag rocker arms instead of Crane Alum. pieces might be safer again if you're going to be seeing big rpm.

A custom torque converter like a P.I. Vigilante is a great idea. I would also go with a 3000-3200rpm piece specifically built for hevay nitrous use(nitrous has a huge effect on torque converter selection because when you hit that button IT'S A WHOLE DIFFERENT BALLGAME)

Goodluck! Sounds coooool!

racecar/cruser alright it looks like i will upgrade the rods. The intake i got is a knock of of the victor JR, its a single plane high rise race manifold.

Ok cool. Now is that knock off going to bolt to Vortec heads or do you still need a Vortec compatible piece? *chant on* Su-per Vic! Su-per Vic! *chant off*
