That's just the trouble boys, our rears as designed push forwards on the rear not down. Then enters "wheel hop", EVERY stock 3rd Gen I've EVER seen sqwatted under hard acceleration.

Tires are worthless if you can't PLANT them, period...

The rear geometry is simple to understand, just extend imaginary lines forward from your LCA's to the point they would intersect the driveline. It's a LONG ways right, there's little leverage pushing up on the car, or visversa, down on the tires...
I know guys running 10's on 10" slicks, all day long.
I've tried BFG DR's = Worthless on my stock sus car..
Why do you think Old School guys ran "slapper bars", leverage..
And the only two mods I really directed at traction are not much more $$ than a GOOD pair of tires...
Worn out suspension, worst track prep i have ever encountered. I attribute some of it to running a big soft converter and a single plane intake.

Here is the Torque Arm rear suspension points. if you understand suspension dynamics, and physics, this will show you why relocation brackets work.

Nice pic, most can probably see that as the front of the tire rotates downward, the front of the diff will try to go upwards.
Rotating the axle tube and rear LCA's mount forwards.

If the front and rear of the LCA's are vitually equal in relation to the drive line, the force created when the axle tube tries to rotate, will push in a straight, forward dirtection on the front mount(car).

But if the rear is lower than the front, the force will go in an upward direction on the front mount.(car)

As it tries to lift the car's weight, the weight is transfered back to the tires, planting them harder...

You don't have to be a Physicist to get the basic's of whats going on...

I just want to overcome the second part of Newtons law that,
"An object at rest, wishes to remain at rest....."
...Basically it will take a LOT more force to accelerate from a dead stop than a roll....

In last months issue of HotRod Mag, there's a feature of a 60s Buick GS that runs in the F.A.S.T. (Factory Appearing, Stock Tires)class [i think it's fast, but something very similar to]. So he has to have a bone stock looking car with the original motor and tranny set-up. Not aftermarket parts. It's a full weight Buick GS that runs on polyglass tires and runs.......11's

that doesn't suprsise me, my good friend has a Hurst 442 Olds, and it runs 12.3 all day long BONE stock unrestored (low mileage of course).
