wahoo it started!

it's come alive for the first time tonight! can't wait to get it broken in and to the track........

I wouldnt be giving her too many herbs until after 3000 miles and 3 oil changes Congrats on getting her started.. I know its a great feeling!

oh yea, i know about the break in periods and such, just proud that this is the first engine i've built on my own and she purrs like a kitten.

Not even that many miles. Most break in procedure say around 500 miles in order for the rings to set properly, even t hen they tell you not to baby it too too much because the rings wont set right but again don't redline the hell out of it either. I went 1300 miles on my crate motor before I started to see what it had. anyways congrats on the new motor! Hope it treats ya well.
