VSS and buffer box????????

VSS and buffer box????????
1)Is the part #25071437 the only Buffer Box GM offered? Any other cars U know of use this Box that would be easy to find in a yard?
2)About the VSS. I looked at the part #'s for ELECTRIC VSS that came on the Camaros and Firebirds for each year. There seems to be 3-4 differnet part #'s for each year just for an auto trans. Does it matter which VSS i get if I am just swithing my mechanical speedo 87 Iroc over to an electric Speedo?
3)Also will my speedo drive and driven gears from my mechanical VSS thing, Fit On and Work With an electric VSS?
4) is it worth Getting a used VSS? If so dnd Depending on the answer to #2 is there any other cars I can get a 4000ppm electric VSS from in the junk yard
