Vortecs are cheap used. I got mine off ebay and they looked just about brand new, the guy said they were used in a race-only car. The valve guides were worked and new springs were installed, should be able to handle .520" lift which is as high as I'll ever go with them. Paid $405 plus shipping and they were already milled .020 which was nice because they were going on a 305. I was a performer rpm and holley adaptor away from keeping efi, cant wait to put the bigger tbi on it some spring break.
