I had a similar problem with my centerbolt covers leaking. They didn't wanna seat with the bigger roller rockers on. Since my heads accepted both designs, I just bought a nice set of perimeter covers (with rubber gaskets) and that did the trick. Now the only little leak I have is a mystery. Every now and then I would get a little splash of oil that I saw on the top of the valve cover (pass side) and a little on the header. I can only think dipstick tube, but I put a factory replacement in, so I don't know why that would be the problem... Can't think of anything else around there that would be able to squirt on top of the valve cover like that... Any ideas guys??

Sorry to hijack, but it seemed a similar problem...

What head? What rocker? I am using AFR centerbolt heads with 1.6 ratio RR and they are the crane gold narrow ones with no problems with it seating

I'm running Dart Iron Eagle heads with Comp Cam Pro Magnium 1.6 roller rockers. The clearance was questionable from the get go as these rockers weren't made to work with centerbolt covers. They were actually a second coice after the GMPP 1.6 RR were hitting the retaining ring on the spring. The guy helping me with my upgrade (Max 93) read that if you bend or trim the braces inside the covers, they might work. I guess mine were the accpetion... But after seeing the new covers on there, it really made the motor!! Just wish I knew where that "splash up" was coming from so I can finally get my car back on the road and have this project complete!!!
