Vaccum Controls

Does our cars use vaccum to control the defrost and heater, etc? If they do then where is that black ball looking thing if we have one. Sorry i do not know the name of it. Thanks

IIRC, if you follow the cruise control hoses, youwill get to it. It is somewheres in the front of the car between the fender and the engine bay.

It should be attached to the inside of the driver's side fender towards the front of the bumper, near where the left turn signal light is. If you get under the car, you should be able to see it. And, yes, our HVAC controls work on vacuum.
