On an 85 IROC I have a condition that when I start the car some times it seems like it is running rich for a few seconds and then clears up .
I put new plugs , fuel filter and air filter and the condition is better put still there any ideas ?
Can a throttle body bypass be done on an IROC(antifreeze bypass)

 

What makes it seem like it's running rich? Smell? Gas bill? Need a lil more info, bro.

it just stumbles and coughs for a second or two on start up and then instantly, run like it should . no gas smell or bad gas milage just idels poor for 1-2 seconds

 

That really doesnt sound like a rich fuel problem. That's hesitation at start-up/Idle. Oh, it's fuel related all right, but it could be anything from a clogged filter to a dirty rail/injector. I'd give the fuel system a good once-over/cleaning, check the timing, and then see if anything changes. my .02
