Trying to hook up an msd 6a???

i'm mounting it under the dash on the passenger side unless i find a new spot under the hood. i can't figure out where to hook up a few wires. theres a harness on the back with 2 wirespurple and green- to the MAG PICKUP in distributer or crank trigger. OR i can use a white wire -tp the points or amplifier output (connecects to yellow wire of timing accessories)

i can't find either

also the large red wire says hook to 12v switched.... so does that mean i need to get a switch to engauge the box????

sorry if these questions are stupid.. i jus don't want to blow somthing else

Go to www.msdignition.com

I was just there and found the directions on wiring an MSD-6a. Its in .PDF format so you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Remember.....the only stupid question is the one not asked.

I mounted my 6BTM in the same location. Remember to tell your passengers to not "kick the spark box" as I say.

Good luck with it.

Switched 12V is just power when the key is turned in the "on" position. And I'm pretty sure you dont need an inline fuse because the box has in internal one. It was like that when I helped a buddy put it on his '70 Nova...Check the destructions just to be sure.

Have Fun
