It's not a computer prob. Mine has never shifted at the same rpm's as it did when it was stock. It shifts at a much lower rpm now at WOT. Driving normal it shift perfectly. But I have a dual gate hurst shifter so I can manually shift for strip use. I adjusted my TV cable perfectly. But I doubt I'll ever get it to act as it did stock.

Are you talking WOT or just normal driving around town?

^^-- That's probably your answer. If not, you may want to look into adding weights to the tranny's governor.

i assume since you have a 91 z throttle body that your car is now tuned port?

edit: nevermind i read that wrong.

My 91z's shift points would vary slightly from time to time based on my modms and what kind of mood the car was in but it always was withing about 100rpm's never a 1500-1800 rpm jump. Something is definately out of wack. Id check the TV cable, have you changed anything else like the gear ratio?

The only other thing I can think of is that the throttle body doesn't have the TV mounts in the same place, which may be causing your cable to not adjust properly. You might want to have a transmission shop or someone who knows 700R4s to take a stab at it.

The TV cable is one thing I DON'T miss about thirdgens

Other than TCC lockup, the ECM doesn't control the transmission on a thirdgen.
