tq converter going out?

I understand the basics of what a tq converter does but dont know the first thing about the internals. The three questions i have if it started going out but wasnt dead yet what would the symptoms be? Is it concievable that it could cause a vibration at higher rpms? And is it possible that it could make an audible noise?

Re: tq converter going out?

My torque converter took a crap on me, the symptoms it started to do was only in the high RPM's, just driving the car normal it was alright, but when i got on it the car started to vibrate right by the trans hump in the car, i thought that it was an out of balance drive shaft but it was the converter, that was the only thing that happened when mine went bad, what happens is sometimes you over rev the car and it ballons the converter and makes it go out of balance. This is the only thing that i can say, hope everything works out for you!!!!
