It will if the TPI intake fits. Depends on the year.

The deciding factor is really the lower intake. The factory parts were designed to fit only the center bolt heads. To go older, you need to modify the holes in the factory intake, or get an aftermarket model that will normally have both an old and new style bolt pattern. I have an Edelbrock lower, and have used it both on the centerbolt and older style heads. One other thing to think about is the distributor. I don't think that the HEI coil in cap style will clear the plenum of a TPI intake.

not quite, the 85 camaro base fits the older heads, and the bases for aluminum headed vettes do too(doesn't have the EGR crossover though)

and the TPI cars had the coil in cap till(I think) 86/87

Was I right about the coil in cap too?
I wasn't sure what year they went to the divorced coil
