So you need the memcal.
Btw, what car is this in? Is it for the 91-92 Camaro or is it a motor swap into something else.
Reason I ask is if you put a stock memcal in the computer and the motor or TPI was transplanted into another vehicle, the motor won't run due to the VATS system, which would need to be installed into the car or disabled in the chip.
I've got the tools to re-program the chip and everything else to get it to work, but you will still need to find a 90-92 Memcal since that unit has the knock module and some other little things built into it.

That's one part I don't have.
I bought one from the dealer 2 years ago when I did my TPI swap.
I paid $48 and some change for mine. I sold the TPI and all related parts when the 305 died, but I still have eeproms and my programmer.

Programmer is $160 and the tuning software is $89.
Blank chips are $5.
Plug in adaptor to use the eeproms is $43. Without the adaptor, you will have to unsolder the stock eprom from the memcal and install a socket to plug in the eeprom.

$250 and you haven't even got started. You can't tune it as well as the professionals like LPE can. There would be a learning curve and it would take you some time and you risk your engine in the meantime. After you master this art, you won't use it as often as you think. That is why I opted to have someone else do it. In the last 13 years, I only have had it tuned 3 times. Once at LPE after intakes and headers, once when I went to a 383 and another time when I had to R&R the engine and I changed injectors.
