im having trouble w/ the cooling system...thinking theres air in it. what did u do w/ the heater control valve that was above the pass. side valve cover when u switched to carb? did u keep it,ditch it,or what? i still have it on there and im thinkin thats my problem b/c ive looked at other carb (factory) cars online and its different. but i moved mine from over the valve cover to against the fender well on the pass. side right behind the overflow tank for the radiator.

are u talking about the two coolant lines that come out of the firewall if so just run the one to the rad and the other to the top of ur water pump and run the car with ur cap off the rad till the thermostat opens and make sure ur fluid is good then it should be fine
just put one hose to the rad and the other to ur water pump and it will work fine if ur car is still over heating cut the spring out of an old thermo so that u have just a restrictor to slow ur water flow down that is what i had to do and alot of racers do that also

thanks for the replys
I gutted all that crap, I just run a line out the top of the intake over to the heater core, and then the other from the core to the radiator to the fitting just below the cap. Heater works fine, but I have no A/C so perhaps the way I have it setup would mess that up if I did...
