Torque Arm Mount (T56 Swap)

I haven't yet started the install (shifter still hasn't arrived) but just learned I needed the Torque Arm mount from the 4th gen. Is there ANY way to reuse the T5 mount? Thanks

well go to www.spohn.net he sells the proper crossmember for the conversion. you can use the 4th gen one but have to cut and weld it to a different angle to fit.

It's somewhat relevant.....if you get the Spohn crossmember and torque arm you don't need the factory T-56 torque arm mount.

I've heard from a couple of guys that the T-5 mount will bolt onto the T-56, but I don't know if this is accurate because I haven't had any dealings with a T-5 mount. My car started life with a 700-R4.

Could you get just the crossmember then later get the torque arm? The picture on the site makes it appear one solid piece?

The T5 mount bolts to the T56, end of story, dont care what you want to guess at, you dont need a 4th gen torque arm or mount or whatever, dont wanna hear it, stock T56 bellhousing, regular sbc, use any of the crossmembers designed for the OEM T56, the normal spohn crossmember does not come setup for the tubular torque arm, you may be able to buy that from them and then the arm later however im not sure if they will do that.

Yeah you'll have to ask Steve about that one. You get the crossmember when you buy the torque arm usually....I'm not sure if he'll sell them seperately. I kinda doubt it but you won't know unless you ask.
