Top engine cleaner directions

I get off work here in a little bit and think if going to do this cleaner stuff to my vehicles.

I guess I need 4 bottles?

For the truck It must be faily simple. Take off the air cleaner and just spray away (just be sure to keep the motor running)? Should I drive the truck around for a while and get it warmed up?

For the car - I guess it is the same way, though should I disconnect any sensors or anything?

Thanks.

with my Z, I just unhooked the power booster hose and stuck it in the can and let the car just suck it all in. You'll have to pull it out so the car doesnt' stall though.

Follow the directions on the car. I think it needs to sit for 30 mins after you get it into the motor before you start it.

Its going to smoke..... a lot. You have been warned

if it works like the mopar stuff, it cleans off the back of the intake valves and excess carbon deposits from the combustion chamber

This stuff works great, just do it the way JaysZ28 said and you'll be just fine. We do this at work a lot, since the cops have their cars idle for a long time. Builds up a lot of carbon, and we use that and it cleans a lot of it right out. And it is fun when you drive it afterwards and there is a lot of white smoke going everywhere.

You can get it at any GM dealer. I'm not sure how much it would cost just walking up there, but through work we pay a little over 6 dollars a can.

I just tried the spray in a 99 5.3L silverado... white smoke EVERYWHERE (and a terrible smell).

Went and drove it around for 30 mins. First 5 mins or so it would amost die when at a complete stop.

The exhaust is dumped - and when getting back, I noticed black soot all over the ground.

I don't know about the Top brand, but I use the Mopar CCC on my 5.9 Limited and it works awesome. This weekend I'm going to use the Mopar stuff on my Formy.

where is this hose located? I'd like to do this to my car.

And this might sound stupid, but where do you put the stuff? if you take the MAF off to squirt it into the Throttle body, the engine wont' run, correct?

So this stuff works pretty good eh?

How long will it smoke for? (rather, how long SHOULD it smoke for)

The vacum hose I am referring too runs from the back of the manifold to the power brake booster. This is just a can of liquid, you open it like a soda can. No squirting or the like required.

A little research on Thirdgen.org gave me the part number for the GM Top Engine Cleaner # 1050002

Enjoy
