I bought a GMPP intake for my truck. I also got a 454 throttle body. The dia. of the holes in the throttle body are 2" but the intake is only 1 3/4". I have a friend that works in a machine shop that can bore out the intake to 2". Will there be any pros or cons to this? I also have a 1" spacer that he is going to bore also. My thought is give it all the volume you can, right?

 

I am pretty sure that u are supposed to bore it out to get the maximum performance out of your up grade to a larger throtle body.
