I am thinking about taking my throttle body off to get it good and clean. I have cleaned it on the car already but i think i can get it clean better with the whole unit off there. I noticed there is a gasket between the back of the throttle body and the tpi. do you think i will ruin the gasket when i take it off? do you think i can get it much cleaner off the car??
need some advice!!!

Some gaskets will stick and tear, some don't, don't forget to clean the EGR passages, and the IAC.

 

If its never been of before,chances of getting it off w/o ripping the gasket are slim. I would go out and get the gasket before u do it just in case.

 

Clean the TB with brake cleaner and clean the IAC and take the housing off to clean it all. Just get gaskets all around. Then reset the IAC and TPS. While you are at it, do the TB coolant bypass mod.

 

OK i am new to this car so i don't know how to reset the IAC or TPS??, and i have heard of the TB bypass but am unsure of how to do it?? if you could help with those it would be greatly appreciated!!!
