Thinking About Selling!!
I'm thinking about selling my car, I've had the car for about a year and a half now I bought it in August of 2001, I have a guy here in town who's interested and I'm having a bit of trouble coming up with a good price on the car, I gave $7000 for it and I'm looking for any input and anyone who is also interested can email me at (voodoo64d@hotmail.com). Here's the rundown:
1990 Chevrolet IROC Convertible
305 V8 Auto
126,500 miles
White with black top
All Stock except for Flowmaster muffler and K&N air filters
List of Repairs:
All new decals and stripes
New cloth top
Paint is about 2 years old; minor scratches on nose, small chip on hood, semi large scratch on lower right quarterpanel, and right fender is dented from a deer running into the car(not very noticeble until up close)
New: waterpump; thermostat; new front calipers, rotors and pads; Throttle Position Sensor; Heater Valve; radiator; Transmission(less than 15000 miles on it); starter; alternator; Interstate Battery; power steering pump; Just recently aligned; new seals for the top: Across the windshield and down the A-pillars and seal that goes across the top of the windows.
Things I've replaced/fixed:
Seats-Black leather from 2001 Formula
New Stock Tachometer gauge(old one was reading way off)
New dash- NO CRACKS!!
Fixed the switch for the tonneau cover
New center caps and have spares
I change the oil and check all fluids every 3000 miles.
Extras that come with the car:
Original seats: still in good shape, not tears or anything, just a little faded
3.73 rear end gears: been waiting to put these in
new SLP 3 series posi-trac differential
The car is in great shape, runs great and definitely gets plenty of attention and love not only from me but from spectators.
Any input at all is welcome, please tell me what you think?

remeber that you have a 1990 Convertable....
please keep in mind that in 1990 there were only 1,294 Z28 and IROC converts made TOTAL, how many of those were iroc cars, i don't know, but you have a pretty hard to find car.
btw, if you sell it for $5500 give me a call.

In all honesty $5500 is low. It is tough to find a nice running IROC/Z-28 for that. But like dewey said your convert is on the rarer side so I would say a good starting point would be around $6500 as long it really does look as good as it sounds. Heck you might as well try and get back what you paid for it.
Why are you going to sell the car? IROC's are sweet and it's a convertible none the less!!!! I regret selling all the past Camaros I owned....hell if it was up to me I'd have a few of every model year! lol Just make sure you got something nicer lined up! Treat yourself to somethin.

90 was the last year of the IROC-Z(28)
id go on autotrader.com and look around the country and see what camaros similar to yours are selling for. honestly i think you might be able to get a little more than 5500 even though it has high miles it sounds like its been taken care of. alot of people are looking for a 3rd gen convertible for the summer especially an iroc. id put it in the paper for 6000 and see if you get any offers. good luck!
Ok... get this, I called the guy back and told him, "I can't really come up with a price cuz I'm not really trying to sell the car so why don't you make me an offer." He said he wanted to meet somewhere so he could get a better look at the car and then he'd be able to come up with something so he wouldn't insult me or anything on the phone. He also said that he bought a 92 Convertible last year for only 2800!!!!! He said it had 69,000 miles on it and that it was in "mint" condition. I'm thinking umm.... yeh, it must have been a V6 or something cuz there's no way any half intelligent person would practically give that car away if it was a Z28. He offers me 3,500 for the car. I just said no thanks, I was a little pissed cuz he said that he knew the value of these cars and then comes out with a price like that??? Come on, please. Oh well, thanks anyway for ya'lls help. If anyone is interested please email me and I'll try and get some pics up for you.
That man was a fool! Dude, honestly, if I had that $8,000 that I spent on my 93 I'd buy your car in a heart beat! (I've got a soft spot for white Camaro convertibles) But, I told my friend joey about your car, (he's toying with the idea of selling his 70 Chevelle SS 454 for an 85-90 IROC or 96/97 SS) and I told him about your car. If he sells his chevelle, he said he'd give you a ring. Anyways, keep your head up. Someone will realize the mint of a car you have and pay you top dollar!
