Are there any N/A 300 hp tpi 305's?

So many people have told me not to even try because it will never happen for an N/A lb9. Has anyone come close yet?

I am about to find out in the coming month.
I plan on adding ported runners, plenum and intake to my combo. I messed up my cam so I m putting in a bigger one that will keep it in the powerband.
I have added ported heads to the setup. I am hoping to come near or pass it. Put them on 2 weeks ago and love it.
Build it I am happy so far. Nothing is better than when people tell you not to do it and then they get beat by it. Love that
You are not gonna be faster than a simarly built L98 but you will be able to take out some L98 and LT1's maybe a LS1 or so. Being as they are not too well modded. I am telling you, you are going to build mountians of power but it can happen with the right combo and the right part selection.

Yeah, it's possible. Check out Wishmaster's post in this forum about his dyno reults. 225 to the rear wheels. That's about 275 at the crank. And it's not a very aggressive or expensive combination at all, form what he's told us about it.

I think my 305 was around 300 or so at the flywheel. I was trapping almost 100 mph in the 1/4 mile and my car weighed in at 3520 with me in it..

with the HP calculator, it says 275hp at the wheels and 324 at the flywheel

http://www.speedworldmotorplex.com/calc.htm

Here is a video of the car running up and down my street,
http://www.transamws6.com/video/ZepherWS6.mpg

And a pic of the motor,

Mine put down 232rwhp in 2nd gear last summer...and I'm in the process of doing some upgrades.

Here's what it had back then-

Stock untouched heads
Stock untouched TPI
Stock untouched airboxes
Stock 19lb injectors and tuning
Mild cam (.210/.220, 480/480 lift, 112 LSA)
Edelbrock headers with cutout before cat.
MSD ignition.

And heres what Im in the process of installing -

Hooker 3" catback
Gutted airboxes
March underdrive pullies
And a couple new sensors here and there

I'd like to get around 255+rwhp in 3rd gear, with around 360+rwtq. I just need to get new tires first

He's the moderator of the Electronics board. He dynoed N/A at 300rwhp years ago. And to make it even more unbelievable, Tim's car is driven daily (I know because we work at the same company) and it's Arizona emissions compliant. His best N/A E/T is a 12.9x. It was against me when I was running 13.1x...... And that was at 3,070 feet elevation! Add some juice and he's run 11.97 (uncorrected for elevation).

Not hard at all, lots of guys here have done it. I have a plenum and runners if you are looking for parts.

If you are looking for power, ditch the fuel injection altogether and go carb.

Couldn't you just supercharge the engine and be pushing over 300hp?

If you read the subject line it says N/A. That means no supercharger, no turbo, no nitrous.

Without hijacking your thread, if you're serious about TPI itd be easier to just sell your car and buy an original TPI car, unless you have some sort of emotional attachment to it like i do (lol). The swap itself doesnt seem that involved, but you have to replace the fuel pump and even when you're done you still have crappy tbi heads and the wimpy lil cam. Plus you have a peg-leg 2.73 or 3.08 (stick) rear, crappy exhaust manifolds, etc - all the restrictions on the tbi engine from the factory, but without tbi. You pick up mad torqe and a little hp, but overall Im not too sure its worth it unless you do heads/cam at the same time.
