TCI Aluminum Pan
I put on a TCI aluminum trans pan this weekend and was wondering about the bolts that come with the kit? I received longer than stock allen head bolts with no washer, so I'm concerned about the suface area the allen head bolts cover. Does anybody know if I should worry, or are these bolt adequate without washers. Also my trans pan sit an 1/8" lower than my long tube headers and i'm afraid i'm going to scrape the pan. Has anybody else come across this proablem? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

do your headers scrape now? if not I wouldnt worry about it. if they do, then there's nothing you can do about it anyway. is your car lowered? what headers do you have and how much clearance do you have under the tranny pan?
also, go ahead and use the supplied bolts. the new pan is cast so its really rigid. dont need as much clamping force spreed across as much area to keep it from leaking.

Yes my car is lowered 2 1/4" and I drag my hooker supercomp long tubes everywhere. The pan sits about 1/8" lower than the header. I have about 3" total ground clearance,I'm just afraid i'll be driving down the freeway and hit some dip in the raod and there goes the tranny fluid.
