TBI Intake Idea

I have seen the TBI cold air kits for trucks on ebay and I was thinking about buying one. I would then buy a TPI air intake off of ebay as well and then hook them together. Has anyone done this before? Can you think of a reason it wouldn't work?

I already have an open air element. I was going to attach the TBI intake to the one that comes on TPI cars, they draw air from in front of the radiator.

Yeah, it's been done before. Go to http://www.thirdgen.org and then go to the TBI board and do a search.

After years of debate and a couple of runs down the track, we've found that there is no gain in going to a set-up such as what you're talking about. It just comes down to looks really.
Just a heads up, the correct link is: http://dns.thirdgen.org/techbb2/
