TBI to Carb Conversion questions

I was thinking about converting my 91 RS 5.0l from TBI to a carb.
Has anyone ever done this? Do I need a new fuel pump. What else will I need?

there was a post in the "305 tbi" thread where this guy gave a website that was all about the L03 w/ the TBI injection. i was considering doing a TPI injection but that website made me change my mind. his theory was go with what ya got and its cheaper. well thats my suggestion but you have to do what you'll feel happy with.

TBI-carb is a very common swap. You'll need a carb intake, a carb, a non-computer distributor (most guys use the coil-in-cap HEI setup,) and a "return style" fuel pressure regulator along with some odds and ends. Your stock pump will work great if you regulate it down to about 5-6psi and straight-wire the relay to come on with the ignition. I've been running my Edelbrock 750 off the factory TBI pump for about 4.5 years with no trouble yet.
