Angry Taking off the upper side skirts suck!!!!

I was taking off my regular ground kit so I could fit my 92 kit. Taking off the front spoiler and bumper is fine. Even the lower side skirts are pretty easy, but the ones behind the doors suck!!! It is such a horrible experience taking those things off. Getting behind the interior door pannels and working in those cramped spaces..... grrr

Well, at least they are off now and some progress is made.

Yeah I removed every trim piece, gfx, and emblem/sticker on my iroc when I had it repainted. It looked like a sport coupe when it was primered. I wish I had some pics. Glad you got it all done!!!

The door pieces aren't held in by regular nuts. These thin metal things are used. They are kind of like nuts, but don't really have threads. Difficult to explain.

What was so difficult about it? All you need to do is remove the door panel, and I sure hope you don't find that difficult. Once removed its 2 easy to access nuts (called speednuts, similar to the hood louver fasteners) on each end of the door, and 3 easy to access nuts inside the door. I had no trouble with mine...

Where do you even get the door skirts off? Not the lower pieces but ones right above them. Almost look like part of the door. If I have to remove the doorpanel, how do I do that?

I just found it to be a huge pain in the ***. I didn't want to take off the whole interior door pannel so i got behind it, and had to take off those speednut things with pliers. They were on there pretty good. Getting pliers back there is a pain in the ***. Took me a while to get the right hold on them.
