anybody have info on this swap? Going from an automatic to a T56 in a 90 camaro with a 350...I need info, tricks, materials, pretty much everything...thanx for your help..

 

yea man,its been done many times. find a post from Rippin92RS,his name is Corey,he has a spot on his carmdomain site about a 6 speed install. ive never looked at it but im sure its helpful

 

Corey has a pretty good write-up, but IIRC his swap was T-5 to T56 and didn't involve modding the firewall etc.

The first article is how to do the t-56 swap specifically. The second tells you how to do an auto to manual swap in our cars. The two combined have every piece of info that you need. pretty much. Also know that you want the t-56 out of an LT1 f-body not an LS1 so youre looking for the 6 speed out of a 93-97 f-body
