Supercharging my V6

My brother and I were discussing super charged V6s and I saw one on cardomain.com so I am curious about it. Where could I find more information? Has anyone here done it? I am curious about the price and labor involved. Thanks alot.

no one makes a supercharger for the 2.8 or 3.1
as far as i know, a 3.8 and 3.4 blower were inthe works (3.8 might have one already)
but you could do custom and dont ask me how much that's gonna cost

edit: i think by the time you go custom with it, you could have just bought a nice v8 car and then some mods on it
i used to want to soup up my 3.1 but, now taht i found i got enough for a z28, i'm just gonna go that route
i suggest you do the same
p.s. keeping the 3.1 as a spare car though

How much would a V8 swap be? I am considering selling my Z and getting a V8, but maybe when gas prices go down.

I know I should keep my much shut, because personally I would go with the V8.

Back in college my buddy had a brochure with a paxton supercharger package in it for a V6 - he had a 2.8L. That was back in '94, so I am not sure they would still be making them.

If you are concerned with fuel efficiency perhaps you should check out a turbo system. They are supposed to work much better with smaller engines, and the power they produce is far superior to a supercharger. May even reduce your emissions.

My Corvette gets better gas milage than my 2.8 camaro did. My IROC and GTA are within 1-2mpg of what my 2.8 camaro got.

BTW, if you do a search you'll find plenty of info on V8 swaps. The short version: It's way too much work to be worth it. Buy a V8 car.
