Super Ram 396 Stroker
Re: Super Ram 396 Stroker
Not sure about here, but I know a few guys are running 383s with superrams over at www.thirdgen.org . Your 396 is a stroked smallblock? I dont think accel makes a superram for bigblocks, but if it's a smallblock, it'd be a good investment...little pricey imo, I'd rather go for the HSR, but still a great intake.
Re: Super Ram 396 Stroker
Yes there is a Super Ram for big block chevy. I cant find it assembled but here it is on Accels website:

It looks a lot like a Holley Stealth Ram, but Accel had this out years ago.
GM High Tech Performance magazine built a 396 small block stroker engine with a Super Ram a couple years ago. If I remember correctly, it put down about 360 HP to the wheels, and was smog legal for New Jersey. Its kinda weak now, as we have one 355 Super Ram here in SoCal putting down 360+ at the wheels and another 355 Super Ram putting 375 at the wheels, both are CA smog legal.
I found GMHTP's Project Magnum TPI here: http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...a_track_times/

a 396 is a 355 bore with a 3.875 stroke, basicly an 1/8" more stroke than a 383
