SubFrames Plans?

Does anyone have plans on building subframes? I would like to get them made up by the same person who is going to make LCA brackets for me.

Anyone have them lying around if you do email them to me, that would be fantastic is some has some plans.

LCA and SFC are so cheap, why bother making them up?

40$ worth of tube/flat steel and I'll have the most reinforced F-body ever seen in a couple weeks. Making your own is cool if you have access to welding equipment and a surplus steel supplier near you. I wouldn't pay someone to make me some...because custom ones I'd want to know exactly that they fit and that if something is slightly off that I have the tools to adjust.

If the labor's "free" then making your own is cheaper. If not, then it's not. My brother made his own and they work very well. But he had access to all the tools and a guy who builds race cages for a living so.......

I don't know about SFCs but as far as LCAs go, make very sure you have the dimensions exactly. By the time you get the right bushings with the grease zerks, powdercoat, etc, is it really worth all the trouble?

I used JEGS frame connectors. They are really nice..Flat tube...they clear 3" exaust. Get the bolt on ones but don't use bolts..weld them instead. The bolt on ones have flat brackets welded to them which makes a place to weld the connectors to your frame. They work REALLY NICE and they are cheap too. Use your time to do other custom work....only so much time, you know?

I live in Australia so getting sub-frames shipped to Australia will cost almost the same as the subframes themselves! So I don't really want to fork out these kind of $$$$. I can get them made for free.

LCA brackets on SPOHN are around $60USD Subframes $185 which equals $245 USD convert to AUD = 380 roughly plus shipping at least $50 So I am looking at over $300USD on these parts getting them free is much better I think!

I have plans on the LCA and they are accurate
