Still having an alternator prob..Help~!~

Ok 89 5.7 tpi car, only electrical mod is an electrical w/p. Worked well for a time and now the alternator is only putting out like 7 volts or so from the back of the alt when running. Checked all connections, took the alt in to be tested (tested ok) Not running; the power cable to the back of the alt is showing 12v, so is the red wire going into the top of the alt. The brown wire into the top is showing 12v when the ign is on. So to recap 12v on rear and top on both conn when ign on. I even started jumping pos to the brown wire to see if that was it, no dice. I took a jumper cable hooked it from the ned of the batt to the alt case to make sure it was not a grounding issue. Im stumped everything looks ok..... Unless the alt itself is actually bad, but I watched the guy at the store hooked it up, it was cranking out fine.....

Oh yea the right fan is now on whenever the key is on, dont know why, I unhooked it and the alt prob persists.

Im stumped if you can figure this out you are a freeking smart dude.

does it show any charge being made on the volt gauge while the car is running? if not,or its low, replace the alt.

Yup thinking the alt might be bad after all

Well When running its pushing out like 7 volts from the pos wire on the back of the alt. Im kinda bummed but I cant see what else could be wrong. Why did it test ok at the store???????
