Any STB is a improvement, I have the two point Hotchkis one and it works fine. My opinion on the three point ones is that it just ties into the thin sheet metal of the firewall and doesn't do much except clutter the engine compartment. You may have to remove
it to do any servicing.

The only advantage that I see to a 3 point brace is that it may be stronger than a 2 point. I don't really see where the car flexes much in a front-to-back motion, plus the sheetmetal is thin like 87DJP2001 said. But... if it makes the bar stronger, then I suppose it will do a better job of keeping the strut towers from moving.

I'm using the 2 point Jamex bar and I was impressed at the difference I could feel. The car steers noticably better and is MUCH more quiet over bumps. I bought the Jamex because it was too cheap not to ($30 shipped ), and with the polished finish, it matched my engine bay nicely.

From a structural standpoint the brace will be stronger using a Triangle which everyone knows is the strongest shape. The triangle helps stop deflection of the bar and resists bending.. I would go for the three, I mean how hard is it to take it off? Not to bad, that I would think.. I have even seen some with swing out clevis's to help so you only have to unbolt one of them..

I have the Edelbrock 3-point. Like everyone says, the triangle is the strongest shape, so I guess I have a strong STB.

How about a 4-point? I modified my Edelbrock 3-point to tie into the radiator support. Since my car is a convertible I figured it would benefit from the extra chassis support.

3 point is worthless...it's just another gimeck. Kind of like saying you sell different stages of porting for cylinder heads. Lame.

The shock towers aren't pushed fore or aft so why would you need anything going from front to back or vice-versa? The shock towers are only pushed up when in a corner and having a brace that keeps them the same distance apart keeps them from flexing and allows the car to handle better.

The best kind of brace to get is one that is adjustable. Therefore you can preload the towers to keep them planted firmer on the ground. It only makes sense.

So many companies sell stuff purely for asthetics. How sad.

Although that 4 point one looks kinda neat, I wouldn't want anything to do with it. What a pain to do ANYTHING under the hood.

Most maintenence items can be done with the 4-point STB in place. But removing it is a 5-minute job (6 fasteners). I've had it off at least half a dozen times.

Everyone has his own opinion on a 2 or 3 and in some cases a 4 point STB. I have a 2 point Hotchkis one and it does the job. So pick the one you like and don't ask opinions because there is no set answer.
