Springs

hey guys will i be able to use my stock springs for my new cam
214/224 .442/.465

the springs are in very good shape i just wanna make sure that they will still work and the springs wobnt bind up... however i think its fine since the life on this cam isnt that dramatic... o yea just wondering whats the lift stock on an lg4? thanks

can someone please tell me if my stock springs will work with the cam i stated above?!?!?

That is the cam spec? Does it mention what ratio RR you wil use? I believe the standard is 1.5. In any case, what ration are you going to use?

OEM rockers which i belive is 1.5

I think you should go ahead swap out the springs. Over time that cam will wear out the OEM ones with ease.

ahh i already put the springs back on

all well there in REALLY good shape... toke the whole head to get cleaned and the guy said he couldnt belive how many miles were on it... outside of the motor made it look like it was tired but we took it all apart and MAN did the person that owned it take good car.... cylinders are all very clean no carbon valves are seatted good... we relapped them anyway... whole head is in grat shape also... this thing is in this good of shape and has 170k miles.. never rebuilt either... it even had the ORIGIANL water pump and timing set well hopefully theese spring will hold out and if they start to go what will i have to look for to know when there going

Serious bogging under a load.....You figure the springs are what open and close the valves....so if thet get worn the valves will either delay in opening and closing causing a bogging sensation. Congrats on the swap though!!!! Might I suggest using Synthetic oil....My ole L98 used to circulate the synthetic and when I opened her up (due to lean nitrous ) she was clean as a whistle.....
