So what is next?

The goal: maintain easy driving and good mileage, while going faster and faster.

Current mods: Hooker Headers, exhaust, Track-only CAI, cutout.

Should I save up and go for something 'big' like a stealth ram? Or do I need to do more small things like a cam, etc. I'd preffer to leave my tranny how it is, it seems to be working great. Any guidance for the future would be greatly apreciated!

in the latest issue of GMHTP they put the stealth ram on an 88 iroc with a 350. after the install the 1/4 mile time dropped about .3 or .4.

It is time to do a set of heads for that L98. The stockers are nothing to write home about but you can fix them up very nicely by following the link at the end of my sig

im going to say dont go with a stealth ram go with a mini-ram. I know a lot of people say well i just dont have the money but honestly i dont either. However i cant bear to put anything half assed on my car so im going to sit bite the bullet and wait till i can afford the best. Just the way i see things.
but if you do that itll be time for some new heads, throttle body intake runners. Because we all the know the rule for every system you replace there is AT LEAST 10 back up systems that you should/need to replace

ouch doug! That hurts.

The HSR is not half assed (if this is what you were referring to at all) Its simply designed for somthing colpletely different than us 3rd gen guys are accustomed to.

The only to make this intake make monster power is go with a big cam, AFR heads and do it right. The HSR is not all that I thought it would be...yet. Its getting faster the more I tune the car but its still not the torque monster I am used to. Its kinda nuts when you roll onto the throttle and at 4000 rpm in first the tires break loose. Not saying I can't light them up from a stop but thats where the tires used to catch traction with the TPI.

Narcah, do heads and cam and maybe an LT1 intake. (The LT1 intake is a miniram btw )

how bout some roller rockers to make the cam "seem" a bit bigger than it is? not a bad install and only $275-300

or hows about porting out the plenum?

heads and cam would be the definate way to make power, although a bit on the expensive and more difficult side.

These are all great replies! I'm thinking probably a LT1 intake (can I just get one out've a junk-yard??) and maybe a a ported plenum. Any idea if these would get me into the 13's? (My goal.)

I ran 13.88 in my car (specs below), 225 rwhp and 392ft lbs torque, torque converter is a big plus - I just installed a set of Hedman 1-5/8" shorty headers, big improvement, but havent been to the track to get new numbers, weathers too hot this summer, doubt I'll be going anytime soon, but dyno day is coming up on the 28th so I'll post hp and tq gains with the headers.

My car is a freak tho, 392ft lbs torque has all the LS1's I know beat, with a 100 shot of n2o I got 518

On another note - nothing wrong with the stealth ram, just cuz its 1/4 of the price of a mini ram, doesnt mean its not a great purchase, nowhere near half assed, just very easily integrated into the stock TPI setup. I don't run one myself since this is not really a hotrod, the mods I've done are just to keep me occupied till the 84 Z is done and keep me in line with the late model cars.

if i were u, i would look into some RR's and a stock LT1 cam. u could expect to pick up 10-15 hp with a stock LT1 cam and u can find them for next to nothing. i have one if u are interested. $20 + shipping. will be in FS section next week.

mabey go with some gear?

stick or auto? if auto, mabey look into a stall.

stall and gear = big drop in ET
