so how do I get a BBC into a 3rd gen?

Any website walk throughs, or maybe parts lists? Perhaps things to look out for?

Biggest things I see in the way are mounts which shouldn't be a big deal, exhaust: getting something to fit in the bay, height for hood clearance, springs to support the added weight, cooling the beast, firewall clearance for the dist, etc

Tips on the above? Anything else I am missing?

I know I'll need some SFCs, probably a tougher rear, a beefed up trans, etc. That's all given. Anything that will make this hard?

I will give you as much info as I know without adding to your questions.

1) The engine mounts should be the same
2)there are many manufactures that sell specific headers for a big block transplant in to a 82-92 camaro, that fit with no problems.
3)I don't think the height is a problem unless you are running a tunnel ram or some sort of high rise intake.
4)The weight difference between a small and big block is not enough to slam the suspension if you don't change the springs. It is no worse tha having a fat chick in your car. If you want to keep the stock ride height, then get some tighter springs, if you don't care enjoy the maybe 1 inch drop.
5)Cooling is the one area that would scare me a bit about a big block swap. A low compression, slightly modded mill should be okay with the stock rad and dual puller fans, however if you go to a high compression set up,I would think a larger capacity rad with a better dual fan setup and maybe even a pusher fan mounted on the front might be safer.
6)From what I here firewall clearance is not a big deal with a properly mounted engine.

I will be more than happy to have some one chime in that has more experience than me on these issues, but from what I have gathered in the past, the swap is not a major undertaking.
