I was wondering if I could eliminate the smog pump and what exactly do i have to do when i take it off. Here in FL they dont emission test, so i should be good there. It looks to me like an extra belt, just taking a little more power from me, and makinf the engine compartment a little more hard to work in!

Yea, just kill the line from the cat to the pump, then the lines from the pump to the black box, then from the manifolds from the box. Take it all off. Heat the area around the torx bit that holds the pump on, I stripped mine off because Im an idiot. There's a tech article on www.thirdgen.org about belt routing. I think you need a 3" longer belt, but dont quote me on that.

 

they do make a delete pulley for that.
